8 SECRETS THAT AFFECT BOARDING SCHOOL STUDENTS

8 SECRETS THAT AFFECT BOARDING SCHOOL STUDENTS

There are simple knowledge or awareness that students in boarding school need to be aware of, because of its high rate in slowing students down and it hidden influences it causes on students minds especially those in boarding school. Though, some day students who with environmental challenges in everyday life faces the same setbacks in their studies. Even though University students are not left out.

Here are the 8 simple secrets almost every students need to know:

1. GOSSIPS, STORIES AND TALES:

Listening to gossips, formed stories, false tales and other video clips that corrupt can greatly endanger students learning in boarding school environment. Many students have friends in schools who are story tellers and fake history makers. Most stories told, are not healthy to the minds of the little children only but to occupy their learning abilities.

Stories and eye contacts took most of the students time, and distracts them throughout the night, even in some cases these tales by older students dorminate many parts of the brain and you know that the brain works like a memory card. Many at times it's hard to delete something bad in the brain file.

A free memory card can record and store up information both relevant and irrelevant for a very long time. What you put to your memory whether good or bad would come to stay and remember, it occupies space. If as a student you fail to monitor what comes into the memory, it magnet more unmotivated stories which set most children back in their academics endeavour in life. Start in time in controlling what comes inside your brain as a student.

2. INNER ENVIRONMENTAL GAMES:

Boarding school students are exposed rapidly in learning the negatives especially if mixed with girls or boys. Hostel bullying, seniority respect and all other social vices learned at home are poured out to the innocent students while in hostel playing ground.

There are also few students who learn wisely and have their lives changed drastically only by disassciating themselves from the lazy ones that will be the only time they would attain to great height in such a colide  schooling environment.

3. CORRUPTED MINDS FROM HOMES:

There are people whose homes are morally damaged. Some parents do allow their children to watch and read corrupted movies, books and listen to songs that explicited taking it as freedom to enjoy their parents sweat.

Children should not  be exposed to corrupted things from homes, let them learn it from outside home and when they display it at homes, then parents should shape it with wisdom and understand.

4. ASSOCIATING WITH WRONG CLASSMATES:

When clever students argue with the unethical students, set backs in learning increased. Students should associate with their fellow students who wants to improve in their education and be ready to learn a new skill with  insightful minds through his/her classmates. Go to educative gathering and make some input. This too well change your life.

5. LACK OF INSIGHTFUL TEACHERS:

Some other students don't improve due to teachers inability to apply skillful teaching. Teachers should be creative and flexible in using many tactics in building and training of students both  day students and those in boarding schools.

6. OUTSIDE MUSIC SOUNDS:

Many students have quick  learning abilities that records songs and videos like memory cards. Learning how to handle what goes to the ear and what the eyes sees is a very big strategy in developing  yourself and helping your parents and school management as a sharp student because your growth is beneficial to the whole world.

7. INDECISION OF CAREER CHOICE:

Some boarding school students have made wrong decisions on career choices due to improper friends and advices while in school. Students should be able to make wise choices on areas relating to their natural abilities, callings or talents from God which is from within.

Not listening or following their parents directions because the decision  would be long  term and may be difficult to change both in spirit or on the face of the physique in time to come.

8. HUNGER, BULLYING AND MALTREATMENT BY OTHERS:

Hunger, bullying and maltreatment can stop a willing , ready to learn students, School management, wicked teachers in class, inability of parents to provide learning materials for the child or a total distraction or weakness from other students.

Every student has the ability to change and reach out for greatness. It is the decision from within to be a unique person that gave many successful individuals the moral to fly higher like an eagle in the face of the universe that matters. Make that decision today and be great forever.

11 SECRETS OF LEADERSHIP SPIRIT

11 SECRETS OF LEADERSHIP SPIRIT

First and foremost, what is leadership spirit all about?

Leadership spirit is an innate skill or capacity of insights a leader have either learned or inherited from God on or before the creation of the world. It could be learned anyway. But a true leader's spirit is to have influence  and endurable characters over others attitude positively.

A leader is said to have the spirit of leading if he has the insight of taking his people to a new dimension of development and enlightenment towards his people both young and old. And known and unknown.

Rev. Dr. Okey Onyemaechi 9 Powers of Leadership Spirit

A leader has the spirit of leading if his actions and belief systems can be able to inspire and motivate others to great heights both in war or in peace.

According to John C. Maxwell who said; "All leaders are followers".

I guess what he meant was that, a true leader never fails to have counselors and enlighten beings around him. It is through his associations that would tell the type of hero he is.

Below are the eleven leadership spirit detailed or explained by Agu C. Stanley the author of "OHE ANYI UTURU - Early Home of Igboland in a seminar presentation as of 2022.

1. A LEADER IS ONE THAT PRODUCES OTHER LEADERS:

The speaker has been into leadership and truly understands that leadership is all about serving other people who may be lower than you in intelligent and or otherwise. He knew that leaders work is to build and produce other leaders that could take over the mantle of societal challenges when they arrive and must be a capable  being who would stood there for the masses.

FOUR WAYS TO IDENTIFY YOUR NATURAL GIFTS

2. A TRUE LEADER IS NOT MEASURED BY WHAT HAPPENS IN HIS PRESENCE BUT BY HIS ABSENCE:

The speaker knew within him that many leaders are respected in their presence and gossips and abusive words at their backs. Leaders are good spirits dwelling in good bodies and they believe in helping others to grow in all round of life.

3. EVERYONE HERE IS A SEED BUT YOU ARE PLANTED AT THE BACKYARD:

The speaker is referring to the masses who don't know their capabilities of what they can do or have  or be within selves. Yes, we listeners and readers are great spirits who stayed in the village and confusing towns with little or no education on who they can become with their potentials if developed.

But, due to lack of money, education or mentorship and other societal problems associated with life we are unable to accomplish our big goals.

6 SECRETS ON HOW TO BOAST YOUR TALENT

4. WHAT IS LEADERSHIP?:

The speaker defined leadership as the hardware inside of you. Meaning, that innate abilities inside of you. Your talents and gifts in life came from God who is the first Leader of all other leaders in the world.

The speaker is aware that leadership cannot be carried out by anyhow person rather leadership is that inner call to serve and help, that's the total surrender and committment to lead within your soul.  He must be inspired to see the unforseen wars and rumors that faces his lovely people without discrimination.

5. INSIDE YOU THERE'S A SPIRIT TO LEAD YOURSELF BUT YOU THINK YOU ARE NOT A LEADER:

Yes, many people think that they are not capable of leading themselves to the height they want to attend. Agu C. Stanley is revealing to the masses that they are leaders and great people. They can lead themselves but because of fear of not trusting their instincts, self doubts and leading themselves safely to their destination set to depreciate.

6. YOU ARE BORN TO BECOME A LEADER BUT THERE'S A PROBLEM:

We are all leaders but the problem is, we want it now, now. The speaker knows that every being is born to become a leader in his own destiny. But due to our inability to have patience until the leadership spirit in us mature through our dedication of studying our environments, reading signs and working on ourselves, we would rather prefer to want it fast which always fails.

SAVING YOURSELF FROM DOUBTS AND FRUSTRATIONS

7. LEADERSHIP IS NOT OVER PEOPLE:

Leadership is not leading other people but knowing who you are. The speaker is trying to tell us that, we are leaders if only we are confidence over our actions and abilities to leader ourselves through the dark roads of life.

FOUR THINGS MOST YOUNG LEADERS NEED NOT TO DO

8. MY BROTHER CHINEDU, BEING A LEADER IS NOT ALL ABOUT PEOPLE FOLLOWING YOU BUT DISCOVERY YOURSELF AND MAKING AN IMPACT:

The speaker is directly talking to the program organizer who may be thinking that being a leader is about having followers. But today, I have grabbed that being a leader is about making an impact to the lives of the people who may be looking for their savior's in human form.

9. WHAT MAKES THE LION THE KING OF THE JUNGLE?:

He asked this question because he knew lions are brave animals and fearless in nature. It is their inner strength that gave them the boldness to fight bigger and strong animals in the forest that make them the Kings of the jungle.

10. YOU DON'T NEED TO BE SMART TO BE A GOOD LEADER:

The speaker is saying to be a good leader, you need to know who you are and the people you want to lead if only you need to be at the front row.

It is through discovery yourself as a leader that makes you smart. Leaders are self disciplined and self controlled. They are insightful and endurable, consistent  and and understandable by inheritance.

11. NOBODY IS BORN USELESS

Nobody is born a follower. We all are born great leaders. This simply means, we all have equal rights to be either a leader or a follower.  A good leader and ready to learn  leader or a bad leader who would bring his ignorance out for the people to make jest of.

AccordingC. Maxwell, the author of 360 degree leaders who said; " All leaders are followers". Leaders are followers because no great leader can succeed in life without having great advicers.

FOUR THINGS MOST YOUNG LEADERS NEED NOT TO DO

FOUR THINGS MOST YOUNG LEADERS NEED NOT TO DO

According to John C. Maxwell in his book tilted 'The 360 degree Leader said:

"The 360 degree leaders take the time and effort to earn influence with their followers just as they do with those over whom they have no authority".

The four things young leaders don't need to do in order to be leaders of influence and characters are listed below.

1. PRIDE:

With no doubt, most young leaders in different leadership positions do one thing in common - showing pride within oneself which shows up in many ways; like displaying body languages and words that hurts others unnecessarily.

So, to be a young leader rightly or wrongly chosen by the public know that you are loved by many other people unknown to you. Try then to show love and mercy to many others too who are unknown to you.

2. DISRESPECTFUL:

Young leaders in our various communities and countries today are fresh and wise. Because you are young does not give you the advantage to disrespect your elders whom you may think are not standard to your view.

Nevertheless, learn how to bend and be flexible to other people's opinions and be free to do good works which are naturally inbuilt by God in us.

3. LACK OF COMMUNICATION:

Most young leaders failed to accomplish their dreams and visions in their leadership career due to their lack of communicating skills with others who should be helpful and that has been what led to their down fall.

If you believe you are a good follower, you must strive to learn and build on human characters and temperament. If you lack communication, you lack network.

Leaders don't need to lack in any area of human endeavors, that's why they need to be growing all the time. Leaders should be willing to learn without season and time.

4. DISPLAYING WARLIKE CHARACTERS:

Because you have power does not mean you are a warrior. You are young and have public power is good enough to turn many lives into gold if power is used wisely.

Why don't you explore your mind and surprise humanity with your temporary acquired skills in leadership field?

Displaying strength in creativity is the most WARLIKE field young leaders need to fix themselves.

Young leaders should be peaceful to their followers whether known or unknown so that he can raise and save bundles of thousands of lives through him. True young leaders who are born to save are scarce.

 Why don't you be one?

Always remember; be the change you want to see in the world.

GREAT NAMES OF ACHARA ANCIENT KINGDOM

GREAT NAMES OF ACHARA ANCIENT KINGDOM

"A wise leader must learn how to ask questions and seek wisdom from the elders." - Obienyi B. Chinedu

Achara is the first son of Uturu in the ancient days.

Our elders let us know the great names of Achara people from the olden days of our fore fathers.

The three names means alot only to the ears that have understanding.

My fellow Achara people I greet you all. I want to say something but I would want to put it in writing not because I can write nor because I believe in this saying " the pen is mightier than the sword" . No, but I want to write just to paint my view on what I have seen and witnessed and heard from the elders of our great ancient kingdom of Achara.

My writing may not really mean anything to you but I  think to another it may mean the world.

In history, as it is written that Achara is a name of a person in a rich organized family called Uturu. Uturu, according to history were once a great warriors' son named Ena. And no warrior ever liveth without being a winner.

To be at the first row is always a challenge. There's always a fight for a warrior's sons and daughters.

To become the first child in a family is like to become the only child who always faces danger.

And if you are the only child, two great things faces you; to fight to live not to live to fight and to endure the scares and wounds given to you by others who claim not to be your enemies.

One of the elders said;

"Achara But Ise Nngkpagidere Nnti"

Right from the beginning of time, Achara has been a strong spirit living in a blessed land. We have been to the people a tree of wisdom others hunger to have. To whom we abandoned, we have deeply seen what is beneath the ground.

Another elder stood up to say;

"Achara Bu Ala Mgbawara Abou Rachikwe".

It is after several discussion that one of the elders made the statement above. He said this in order to tell us how strong hearted the olden days Achara people were.

Meaning, in the olden days, we don't tolerate nonsense, in the olden days, we have been the heir, in the olden days, we have been the magicians, in the olden days, we have been the wise, in the olden days, we have been the home of refuge for other people, in the olden days, we do what others fear to do, and  in the olden days, we are hard to be defeated.

The elders try to encourage the young ones at heart to be strong and trust in God and obey the traditional laws and rules in doing things.

They confirmed that;

"Achara But Enya Aturu Nnlegidere Agu  Ya Nwo".

One of the elders said, truly, if we become a lion in this case, we can lose but let us turn to whom we are truly. We are Enya Aturu.

We are the "Lamb Eye" in the eyes of the people.  We are the gods to our friends. Who are the friends of Achara? The other fowls. We have remained silent even though we are not afraid of war or communal battle.

The elders have advised us not to beg again rather to arm ourselves with rules and laws of the land knowing fully well it's their woo who are faulty in abundance.

Another thing that looks like what others said is:

"Akpata Atufo Ejiweye Abu Oghariaya Mana, Akpata Atufo Na Emenu Ubaam"

The words of the elders cannot be taken for granted.

There's a reason this statement was made.

Among the elders, there's nothing hidden and nothing common in their presence. They said exactly how it started and why it is happening. Yes, to be the first is always a challenge. You must and should give what you can afford to lose. In the other way round, you must be careful in what you say.

Everything has dual meaning in the eyes of the wisdom elders. Your ability to choose the right one, that where the power of being a  super human start.

        THE BEGINNING OF UTURU

Ena, the founder of Uturu clan with his group settled at a place called Ekeukwu at a time nobody had ever inhabited there.

Enamgbedu, the father of Uturu, a great warrior and hunter, had other sons apart from Uturu, his first son. The other sons were

Lolo- the present day Umulolo

Ochi- the present day Osuochi

Ama- the present day Eluama in Isuikwuato.

The Sons of Ena of all lived with him at Ekeukwu but after some times, three of his sons set off to live on their own and travelled afar and settled at their present location where they lived today, leaving their most elder brother - Uturu to take care of their aged father at Ekeukwu.

They often come back for a reunion from time to time at the instance of their aged father. They could come back from their different abode for his blessings and wise counsel. At certain time of the year, Ena other children would come down to Uturu to meet at Ekeukwu to pay homage to their ancestral home and perform the traditional rites  before  the great shrine( ERIMAFOR). On such occasions, they used to bring with them, among other things, the placenta of their children born during the year and present same before the ERIMAFOR - a sort of Census taking.

HISTORY AND ORIGIN OF IGBOLAND( UTURU IN PARTICULAR )

A man called Ena who was believed to be a farmer, hunter and a warrior  in search of a better settlement  came into the present Uturu in company of his great family and relatives.  He is believed to have sojourned from present day cross river state;many believed that he particularly migrated from Ogoja.

They first settled at the present Ekeukwu because of the serenity cos of the shades from the trees.

Ena has many wives but the first wife by name Mgbedi was most significant.  She was the person that told the household not to kill Azu ihuku on the premise that the noise from the fishes keep them company as though they have neighbours( no spirituality of any sort attached to it)

The sons of Ena are

IMOBI

UGWU

OCHI

IBINA

OPAISIEKE

ABO N'EZE and

UTURU.

Shortly afterwards another family led by a man called EDERENWOGBA ( EDERE OMOBA) came to settle  at same land. This led to a fight.

UTURU  being young and unmarried  fought vehemently for his father against the Edere Omabas.  Edere Omabas were conquered and chased towards the present day Ebonyi  state.

Owing to victory brought by UTURU,  their  father Ena named the  community  after him. Thus the entire land answers UTURU till this day.

For him to fight more wars to conquer more lands he underwent several fortifications.  The last he did was to eat the bile of a lion which unfortunately killed him. He neither married nor had any child till death. He was buried along Amidi Ihiteokoko Road . During new yam festivals  the spot is decorated with white cloths till this day.

IMOBI and his brother UGWU moved to Achara( under a bamboo tree thus the name Achara at the present Achara Post office).

Ochi moved to Ekpukpa

Opaisieke to Nvurunvu

Ibina to Ndundu

AboN'eze to Isunabo.

Due to the desire to have more lands UGWU took his children and moved to the present MBA UGWU such as

UGWUele

Ngodo

Ugwuogu

Anyim  children went to present Umuanyi.

Some of Ena relatives that came with him include

Edda in Ebonyi

Ochi( Isuoçhi)

Etc.

Imobi has several wives. The first wife gave birth to Idii(first son of IMOBI-Amidi)

Anyanwu(Amanyanwu)

Onuzo.

Other wives also had sons  such as

Eziama

Okwe( Amokwe)

NNEJI (OGWAHIA)

To be continued...

TEN HINDRANCES OF VISIONS AND ITS' SOLUTIONS

TEN HINDRANCES OF VISIONS AND ITS' SOLUTIONS

There are many factors that can possibly hinder a leaders' visions

These factors could be inform of distractions to the mind from unexpected areas. Like; watching videos  that are not relevant to your insightful mind, associating with the wrong peers or group of people, reading unmotivated books and not been able to follow personal decisions to the end and so on. Upon that, there are other factors that can quench a visionary leader from manifesting.

Vision is a pursued insight from within.  Moreover, anything that can make one not to reach out expectations is a hindrance.

One person create the road for others to or travel

There are many factors that can possibly hinder a leaders' visions. These factors could be inform of distractions to the mind from unexpected areas. Like; watching videos  that are not relevant for the insight, associating with the wrong peers or group of people, reading unmotivated books and not been able to follow personal decisions to the end and so on. Upon that, there are other factors that can quench a vision from manifesting. Vision is a pursued insight from within.  Moreover, anything that can make one not to reach out expectations is a hindrance.

There are ten factors that tends to stop visionary leaders visions from developing which are:

1. Unseriousness

People who fail to accomplish their goals in life are due to lack of believe in their chosen career.

2. Associating with the Unlike Minds

This is the giant killer of leaders’ visions in life. The association should be with the people who share the same view in life.

3. Self Doubt and Fear

Doubt and fear are the causes of all failures in life. Self doubt can be overcome with self-discipline. Both can be conquered by having a strong sense of your destiny in life.

4. Lack of Trials

Without any doubt, lack of trial destroys one’s purpose and visions in life. It could be defeated by reading self motivating books periodically.

5. Family Background

The weapon to fight this problem is by associating with like minds. Because it is your brothers and sisters that would first discourage you.

6. Educational System

The kind of education one receives while growing up. This can be challenged through expansion of one’s knowledge.

7. Attire or Presentation

This is silent destroyer. The unaware of this factor has caused many failures. It can be gained through building a high strong self image.

8. Social Media

Here is a place you see people destroying others goals consciously or unconsciously. The remedy is to be present in mind and in the moment and remember to ask the question, “How is this discussion helping me in building and achieving my purpose in life?

9. Looking For Help

Many people will fail to go on in life because there is no help in their chosen career. The only help you need to succeed is to learn what is necessary for you to learn.

10. Environmental Influence

Environment is another battle field that destroys a person’s vision. It can be overlooked by focusing only on the task at hand. Note, whether you are in the rural or urban area, what you do at present, should distort your dreams.

Rev. Dr. Okey Onyemaechi 9 Powers Of Leadership Spirit

9 POWERS OF LEADERSHIP SPIRIT

We have set out for community development through our insightful developed speakers who support enlightenment and entertainment works via seminars and open programs presentations. Most of our events will be talking about societal set backs or influences over personal or group growth.

To help us reach out is to support the good work of good people in such a rural undeveloped areas dwelled by good people.

9 POWERS OF  LEADERSHIP SPIRIT

BY REV. DR. OKECHUKWU ONYEMAECHI

The Nine powerful statements I grabbed as Rev. Dr. Okey Onyemaechi was delivery his speech at Akpukpa Youths Conference Seminar as of 14th of April, 2022.

These are what he said:

1.         “YOU CANNOT GROW MORE THAN YOUR PLACE.”

As he walked inside the hall, he saw how little children are all over the hall with few adults.  These children are not up to 18 years of age. The few adults he saw were ready to learn from him.

Observing this, he said, well you cannot grow more than your place. He knew that bye and bye, his place is his home. He cannot because of his high profile or personality differences or money and reject his people’s call to learn from his knowledge. His actions and words changed something in me.

2.         “AM A CYCLOPEDIA THE MORE YOU WANT TO KNOW ME THE DEEPER I BECOME.”

He said this because he has seen the community, the people and their old ways of reasoning. He decided to live like them not because he is of the same level of thinking but because he wants to make an impact. As he said, if you try to show me over sense, I will tell you that am more than what you think of me.

3. “YOU MUST HAVE THIS  CONTROLLING YOUR TEMPERAMENT.”

Here, he’s telling the leaders of our communities. If you must be effective leader, you must learn how to control your temperament. He knows how important it is to have an organized life style and packages as a leader. He knew that leaders of today allow themselves up to be beaten by societal influences of people who are not leaders. He knew that leaders are selected people who are always looked upon by their followers. He knew that leaders are the first citizens of any community and state. He understands the challenges leaders face.

That’s why he gave out the most secret- knowing how to control your temperament. The word ‘temperament’ has been missing in people’s lives especially leaders. Many don’t know what temperament is all about talk more of knowing how to control it. If there’s one lesson a person should learn before going into leadership I think its temperament.

4.       “A LEADER MUST BE READY TO FIGHT OPPOSITION.”

This is what most leaders and ordinary people don’t know. As a leader, you must in actions show annoying reactions to those who want you to fail. To those who want to make you a fool before your followers. He said, you must be ready to fight them. It’s simply means leaders should physically build their muscles to become giants and be somehow fearful may looking at them. He is saying leaders should study spiritual books or verses of the bible that empowers them mentally so that they can fight those with bending spiritual insight. Or maybe, leaders should strive to be more enlighten to rise above their oppositions.

5.  “A LEADER IS A PERSON WHO IS CONCERNED WITH THE PEOPLE HE’S LEADING.”

Revered Pastor Okey Onyemaechi knew that leaders are entitled or entrusted with few or many groups of people in a country or growing communities whose followers are looking up to their leaders for guidance and corrections.

READ SOCIETAL PROBLEMS AND ITS SOLUTIONS HERE

He believed that leaders are not just only the people who are selected to lead others but leaders are people whether called upon or not who volunteered to be concerned with the people they are leading. The speaker may not have viewed it this way but in my mental eye seeing – it does mean another thing. For me, Onyemaechi’s speech expands my insight of seeing from different viewpoints. You must be concerned with the people’s feelings if you think you are their leader. True leaders must be concerned with the societal challenges of their people.

5.      “IF YOU ARE A LEADER AND YOU THINK THE PROBLEM OF THE PEOPLE DOESN’T CONCERN YOU, ONE DAY IT WILL CONCERN YOU.”

He used road as an instance, if you are watching your people suffering from bad roads and you feel like it doesn’t concern you because home is not your base, you only come down home when you know surely its good and dry. One day, it could be death or wedding of your dear ones only then because of your friends would be a touch on your checks. Frankly speaking, leaders should try their best to show concern with their people’s problems.

7.   “THE RIGHT PEOPLE AT THE RIGHT TIME - THAT WHAT LEADERSHIP IS ALL ABOUT.”

He says this because he discovered that some leaders don’t care to cooperate with the right people that would make things happen. He suggests that leaders should look for the right people who would give them what they want. What could stop the vision of the leader not to manifest? This is a real fact, finding right people who can give you what you want at the right time.

8.    “THERE ARE PEOPLE YOU MUST TRUST. THERE ARE PEOPLE WHO WILL MENTOR YOU OTHERWISE YOU WILL NOT SUCCEED AS A LEADER”.

He said, even as am speaking with you now – I have many mentors who I go to and they will sit me down and discuss things out. As visionary leaders, do you have wise men as your mentors? He knew too well that leaders of today may have mentors but hardly will they listen to the directions of their mentors rather they go ahead in doing their heart desires. Or maybe, they chose the wrong type to mentor them. Leaders should share their visions with their mentors and listen for directions.

9. “IF YOU DON’T HAVE A MENTOR, THE PERSON IS BASTARD.”

Indirectly he has called all the leaders who don’t have mentors bastard. He is suggesting that every leader should have another eye that sees from different directions and different perspective of things. He is also suggesting that as a leader if you choose unenlightened men as mentors you too is a bastard.

His last point I think is annoying because from the phase of his speech, it means anybody on the face of the universe who don’t have a mentor is bastard. You are not truly what others say you are. You are who you chose to be. You are a unique born hero.

“If I have seen further than others, it is by standing upon the shoulders of giants.” – Isaac Newton
