He Knew It, He Was For Good Not Bad In MCA

Who is Reverend Brother Emmanuel to Marist Compressive Academy, Uturu?

I'm not writing to praise a man of such caliber rather, I'm writing for emphasis of great minds and souls in existence. I know from the beginning he was working for the future not present. Sure, it is the present that governs the future.

Initially, I don't know Rev. Brother Emmanuel until he was sent to MCA as a bursar. Though, he is the third bursar I would be working under his authority in the kitchen where I have worked for more than five years now as a cook.

Unlike other Brothers I have witnessed, Emma is different and unique in his act of discharging his duty with his workers.

I heard it as a story, when he was sent to Marist Nursery and Primary School in the year 2019. He rearranged the school building and its environment. Sure, I know when the primary school building was under renovation process but, I don't know it was him. Many people including parents and teachers recognized his impact in the lives of their children.

As time passes by, he was sent to Marist Compressive Academy, Uturu around mid year, 2024 after Marist Brothers retreat repositioning tactics as the head of kitchen department.

Like he used to say, I'm not like other brothers. If other brothers have been messing up with us, I'm not  part of it. He repeatedly says such statement to almost different department working under him.

By normal, many workers thought it was a play of words like other brothers who are not taken serious. The people knew the Brothers as men of forgivers and tolerable individuals. Truly, they are men of such characters. But, for an ordinary being who are limited on reaching higher goals and achieving it, working under enlightened leaders is always a difficult task to cope with.

So, his arrival and self introduction to some departments make a lot of differences in the growing process of MCA. As he stayed, he began to doubt the working systems of most departments including teachers, students and non-tutorial staff. 

First, the people sees him as an angry brother who make and set unrealistic dreams. He redirects the movement of some MCA activities. Though, it may be he's working for the whole Marist missions or he's using his influence of intelligent to bring a new change that's would affects the entire systems of Marist workers as a whole.

In the kitchen where I work, he looked into our faith i.e, the kind of people and what we believed in and preached to us for repentance. 

To the students, he transferred campus two who are near kitchen to join campus one for easy controlling and monitoring by house masters. Like play, he desolved the two head of departments in the kitchen into one head of department. And make sure a lester mixer was installed for baking and mixing of floor for bread and bons. Thought, it was after a great challenge from the bakery department. He solved the problem.

There came a time in the kitchen, when it seems as if food are prepared badly or not fair enough in the health of students. As he got involved, the problem was solved. I heard from one of our co-worker, that parents of students applauded him for well prepared food in one of the general meetings held with P.T.A. personels. Food has been improved.

When you come to the hostel dinning and its environment, he installed many mini solar lights including students bathing places both boys and girls. He came to the kitchen and installed many solar lights to dark places that affects cooking. 

I'm not saying he's the one paying for it or making decisions on his own, rather I'm saying, it is his influence and the people around him as Brothers.

Come to the street, he make sure street lights are scattered to every corner including straight transits. It wasn't like that until he came in power. I know, no great leader leads alone.

I would say, because of his inquisitive about things, he insisted and make plans for CCTV cameras installations in some dangerous places for effective monitoring of students movement and few strangers activities in the compound. 

Brother Emma was insightful and has expanded visions towards humanity development especially to the younger generations in mind. 

To the students, he tackled bullying, stop some noticable corrupted attitudes of students, improves students time management and mostly touched their prayer lifestyles. Truly, he has an impact to the MCA family as a whole.
