A leader has the spirit of leading if his actions and belief systems can be able to inspire and motivate others to great heights both in war or in peace of the people.
According to John C. Maxwell who said; "All leaders are followers".
I guess what he meant was that, a true leader never fails to have counselors and enlighten beings around him. It is through his associations that would tell the type of hero he is. He must be ready to face many things both wars and peace of the people his leading.
Below are the eleven leadership spirits detailed or explained by Agu C. Stanley the author of "OHE ANYI UTURU - Early Home of Igboland in a seminar presentation as of 2022.
1. A LEADER IS ONE THAT PRODUCES OTHER LEADERS
The speaker has been into leadership and truly understands that leadership is all about serving other people who may be lower than, in intelligent and or otherwise. He knew that leaders work is to build and produce other leaders that could take over the mantle of societal challenges when they arrive and must be capable of handling social issues in terms of heavy problems or development.
2. A TRUE LEADER IS NOT MEASURED BY WHAT HAPPENS IN HIS PRESENCE BUT BY HIS ABSENCE
The speaker knew within him that many leaders are respected in their presence and gossips at their backs in an abusing words. Leaders are people with good spirits dwelling in them and they believed in helping others to grow in all round of life especially their own subjects.
3. EVERYONE HERE IS A SEED BUT YOU ARE PLANTED AT THE BACKYARD
The speaker is referring to the masses who don't know their capabilities of what they can do or have or be within themselves. Yes, we listeners and readers are great spirits who stayed in the village and confusing towns with little or no education of what we can become with our potentials if developed.
But, due to lack of money, education or mentorship and other societal problems associated with life we are unable to accomplish our big goals.
4. WHAT IS LEADERSHIP?
The speaker defined leadership as the hardware inside of us. Meaning, that innate abilities inside of you. Your talents and gifts in life came from God who is the first Leader of all other leaders in the world.
The speaker is aware that leadership cannot be carried out by anyhow person rather leadership is that inner call to serve and help, that's the total surrender and committment to lead within your soul. He must be inspired to see the unforseen wars and rumors that faces his lovely people without discrimination.
5. INSIDE YOU, THERE'S A SPIRIT TO LEAD YOURSELF BUT YOU THINK YOU ARE NOT A LEADER
Yes, many people think that they are not capable of leading themselves to the height they want to attend. Agu C. Stanley is revealing to the masses that they are leaders and great people. They can lead themselves but because of fear of not trusting their instincts, self doubts and leading themselves safely to their destination set to depreciate.
6. YOU ARE BORN TO BECOME A LEADER BUT THERE'S A PROBLEM
We are all leaders but the problem is, we want it now, now. The speaker knows that every being is born to become a leader in his own destiny. But due to our inability to have patience until the leadership spirit in us mature through our dedication of studying our environments, reading signs and working on ourselves, we would rather prefer to want it fast which always fails.

7. LEADERSHIP IS NOT OVER PEOPLE
Leadership is not leading other people but knowing who you are. The speaker is trying to tell us that, we are leaders if only we are confidence over our actions and abilities to leader ourselves through the dark roads of life.
8. MY BROTHER CHINEDU, BEING A LEADER IS NOT ALL ABOUT PEOPLE FOLLOWING YOU BUT DISCOVERY YOURSELF AND MAKING AN IMPACT
The speaker is directly talking to the program organizer who may be thinking that being a leader is about having followers. But today, I have grabbed that being a leader is about making an impact to the lives of the people who may be looking for their savior's in human form.
9. WHAT MAKES THE LION THE KING OF THE JUNGLE?
He asked this question because he knew lions are brave animals and fearless in nature. It is their inner strength that gave them the boldness to fight bigger and strong animals in the forest that make them the Kings of the jungle. Develop the habit of kingship through your understanding of people's feelings.
10. YOU DON'T NEED TO BE SMART TO BE A GOOD LEADER
The speaker is saying to be a good leader, you need to know who you are and the people you want to lead if only you need to be at the front row.
It is through discovery yourself as a leader that makes you smart. Leaders are self disciplined and self controlled. They are insightful and endurable, consistent and understandable by inheritance.
Nobody is born a follower. We all are born great leaders. This simply means, we all have equal rights to be either a leader or a follower. A good leader is one who is ready to learn and relearn either through the hard way or the easy way.
According to John C. Maxwell, the author of 360 degree leaders who said; " All leaders are followers". Leaders are followers because no great leader can succeed in life without having great advicers and followers.
