Talents Are Naturally Gotten From Birth - Use Your Talents to Serve the World
Talent is a natural ability to do something very well without much struggle. It is a gift that comes naturally from birth. There are as many talents in the world as there are grains of sand in the ocean. Every human being on earth has at least one.
Have you ever thought about wood carvers? Think about the stress and patience they pass through before accomplishing a particular masterpiece. A piece of wood that looks ordinary becomes a beautiful work of art in their hands. That is talent at work.
Think about great artists like Leonardo da Vinci and other powerful artisans who changed history with their hands and minds. What about great artistes and their legendary songs and lyrics that live for generations? All these are talents given by God.
It is true that one can develop or learn a talent and do very well at it. Through practice and training, anyone can become skillful. But nothing beats the gifted ones - those who are naturally born with it. When natural talent meets hard work, greatness is born.
What Talent Really Means
Talent is a gift from God. When you discover the potentials inside you, you become unstoppable. And moreover, you become more alive and fulfilled. In other words, your talent is your inborn instinct. It is a natural seed planted in you that needs to be guided, nurtured, and worked on for full development.
Living life according to your own principles and believing in God with all your heart while doing what you call truth is what I call Liberty. Liberty is freedom to be who you truly are.
There is a very old adage that great men never abandoned outside their heart: "Follow your bliss." Follow your heart even if you meet failures on the way. The more you fail, the more you learn. Failure is not the end; it is a classroom that prepares you for success.
Talent is a natural ability to do something well and everyone has it. Discovering and believing in your talent is your job, and it is indeed a great job. It is true that talents can be cultivated and learned even when we think we have no talent. Just pick one or two skills out there, start practicing, and you are already on your way to greatness.
The legendary basketball player Larry Bird said it best: "A winner is someone who recognizes his God-given talents, works his tail off to develop them into skills, and uses these skills to accomplish his goals."
Understanding Your Goals
A goal is something you hope to achieve in life. You may have short-term goals and long-term goals. It all depends on who you think you are and what you think you can accomplish. Your talent is the vehicle that will take you to your goals.
Look at what the Bible says about talent. One of Jesus' most significant parables regarding work is set in the context of investments (Matthew 25:14-30). A rich man delegated the management of his wealth to his servants, much like investors in today's markets do.
He gave five talents (a large unit of money in those days) to the first servant, two talents to the second, and one talent to the third. Two of the servants earned 100 percent returns by trading with the funds, but the third servant hid the money in the ground and earned nothing. When the rich man returned, he rewarded the two who made profit, but severely punished the servant who did nothing with his talent.
The lesson is clear: No talent is useless no matter who has it. God has not created anyone empty. Putting your talent into work is the starting point of growth. It is the recognition and use of this talent that gives life meaning.
The Forces That Shape Your Talent
Positive and negative actions are the only two powerful forces that can either hinder your progress in life or take you to another level of prosperity.
These influences are the only two forces that can change one's views in life. They may come in the form of your friends, your peer groups, your church, your family, or even your environment and the things you watch or do on social media.
It is your duty to choose which influence you will follow. You have been given this powerful chance of choice to make your own decisions. Choose wisely.
The famous writer Erica Jong said: "Everyone has talent. What is rare is the courage to follow it to the dark places where it leads."
You must have the courage to follow your talent even when the road is dark, lonely, and uncertain.
You must believe in action, consistency, hard work, and in yourself too. Talent without work is wasted.
According to motivational speaker Zig Ziglar, F.E.A.R. means "False Evidence Appearing Real." Many people have killed their talents because of fear - fear of failure, fear of what people will say, fear of not being good enough. Do not let fear stop you.
How to Discover and Grow Your Talent
The best way to grow in life is to be a goal-oriented individual. So many people trust in luck without knowing that luck is simply a matter of preparation meeting opportunity. When your talent is prepared, your opportunity will come.
To shine, you need positive people around you. Negative friends will mock your talent and discourage you. To grow more, you need to develop your ideas and the potentials inside you.
Potentials are simply undeveloped talents in you. Potentials mean the power to change everything around you. Inside you is potential waiting to be discovered.
There are many more talents to talk about. There are singing talents, writing talents, speaking talents, teaching talents, building talents, farming talents, leadership talents, and helping talents. There are people who have great talents without recognizing it because they are too busy comparing themselves with others.
Do not doubt your inner self for what it tells you. You are who you say you are. As the Bible tells us, "Know thyself." When you know yourself, you will know your talent, and when you know your talent, you will know your purpose.
Today, make up your mind to discover your talent. Write down what you love to do naturally. Ask your friends what they think you do best. Pray about it. Then start developing it. Serve the world with it. The world is waiting for your gift.
